Artist Statement

Migrating salmon at Brooks Falls attract brown bears and the brown bears attract tourists to this remote river on the Alaska Peninsula. Bruce and Scott first visited Katmai National Park in 2005. Bruce based this watercolor painting on a photo he took of a fishing brown bear at Brooks Falls. ‰ÛÓ Bruce and Scott Sink
