Anne of Green Gables was one of my favorite childhood books which is why I decided that I wanted the opportunity to recover the book. I chose go in a different direction then the traditional Anne of Green Gables cover because I felt like the covers are usually dated and don’t speak to younger audiences. I used a vector graphic to make Anne’s silhouette. This silhouette is set in black, while the background is a pale green, giving the cover a lighter feeling. I think that this also lets the cover speak to younger audience, while the silhouette has a more historical feeling to it. — Jessica Madden
