California‰۪s Sequoia National Park is rightfully known for its big trees (the largest on Earth by mass), yet it also contains some of the best backpacking in the Sierra Nevadas. This is especially true in the colorful Mineral King Valley, added to the southern section of the park in 1978. This watercolor is based on a photo taken by Scott and his wife during a September 2010 overnight trip into the mountains. ‰ÛÓ Bruce and Scott Sink
