Artist Statement

I chose to draw and paint Piz Corvatsch, the iconicpeak visible from Nietzsche\'s Summer residence in the Swiss Town of Sils im Engadin. Whereas Nietzsche climbed it in Summer, I decided to depict it in winter, to reflect the relentless harshness and the level of difficulty of the Text. Nietzsche\'s monumental work is no easy mountain to climb. — Christian Schlaeffer
