Andrea is an extremely ambitious artist and has the desire to try anything, or in her words, "do anything!" Andrea is one of the first artists to participate in the Fine Art program at the Ann Storck Center, in its inception in 1994. She worked on a wide range of paintings, but by far her most popular one is Rejoice, a black and white lion like figure which now is etched on the beautiful front doors of the Gizmo House, were Andrea resides. Andrea left the Art program for some years to pursue some other creative outlets and returned in 2011. Her artistic skills have developed significantly through all of the one on one art sessions since her return. Andrea's motivating spirit and bright smile is infectious. Her style of painting is diverse, sometimes using short, fine brush strokes to create a more realistic feel and other times, creating a more abstract look with free form strokes and wisps of color. She's inspired by her love of learning and zest for life! Andrea's enthusiasm is evident in her works of art, as she puts her heart and soul into every piece she creates. She strives to try something new everyday and her paintings exude this innocence and curiosity.

The power to create, communicate and be heard is an ability that many of us take for granted and too many others are disregarded as unable. That’s why we’ve partnered with the Ann Storck Center, to promote ability and inclusion for the disabled community by focusing on ability: creative ability.
