To have pride in who you are, to stand up for what you believe in takes courage. To love yourself first, before you can love those who hate you for who you are takes courage. I thought about using the usual rainbow colors to indicate the inclusiveness of all lesbian, gay, bi, Trans, queer labels, but it is love that holds all of us un understanding. So I had to include the heart. I had thought about rendering faces, but I decided that the simple word, "Pride", all in caps, says everything that had to be said. — Lyla Paakkanen
