Artist Statement

I painted this after the Orlando nightclub shooting in June of 2016 that left 49 dead and 58 injured. I posted it to social media with, "Let's make real change #America." My sentiment hasn't changed since Orlando. Or Sandy Hook. Or Columbine. Weapons of war should not be on our streets. After the tragic loss of another 58 innocent lives in Las Vegas last week, and hundreds more injured, we as a nation must move beyond thoughts and prayers to take concrete action to end these recurring nightmares. — Crystal Sacca
