Kaitlyn Beiriger My name is Kaitlyn Beiriger, and I obtain a burning desire to create. The very act of making marks onto paper (or any given media), makes me feel intensely alive. My work is inspired by nature, philosophy, and psychedelic elements. As an artist, I try to make work which not only challenges the viewer to think in a new perspective, but also provides sufficient detail and vibrancy which captivates the eye.

Artist Statement

I am Kaitlyn Beiriger, and I study Illustration at Columbia College Chicago. I was introduced to this campaign by my professor, Chris Arnold. I was immediately filled with excitement to draw a National Park, since my work is inspired by nature and travel. I drew the Grand Canyon because I went on a cross-country road trip over the summer with 3 friends, and it changed my life. We visited the Grand Canyon together, and we shared a magical experience at the sight of it. In this illustration I wanted to capture the enormous size of the canyon and create a scene that the viewer is pulled into, leaving them with a feeling of awe, just as The Grand Canyon did me. - Kaitlyn Beiriger
