Artist Statement

I live in San Francisco, and in 2017 we thought we were having the worst fires in California's recent history. Fast forward one year to 2018, and NOW we're having the worst fires in the history of the state. It just seems to me that, given the realities of climate change and partisan politics in the United States, that we should be spending a lot more time helping the environment -- believing in science -- and less time arguing with each other. I wanted this design to be a simple but striking call to action, reminiscent of electricity or neon. - Holly Savas
