I had originally drawn this image after I had discovered raccoons climbing over the fence at night to eat the cat food that I was leaving out for the feral cats. We live in an urban area, and we have seen skunks, turkeys and raptors in the area, but I had never seen raccoons. I heard a racket outside and went to investigate. I found three raccoons climbing over the fence and spilling over the bowls of food as they hurried to eat. I felt grateful to have seen them, but I not longer leave food out at night. — Lyla Paakkanen
