June Design Challenge: Pride

June is Pride month and we're seeking designs celebrating LGBTQ rights all month long! Proceeds will support Courage Campaign. Submit your design during the month of June to be featured!

Creative Brief

June is LGBT Pride Month and events will be held across the country to celebrate hard-won victories, shine a light on current fights, and to commemorate the Stonewall riots. With marriage equality now the law of the land there is a lot to celebrate, but there are also attacks on the LGBT community everyday that require persistent vigilance.

For this month’s challenge we're seeking Pride posters & t-shirts that celebrate LGBT rights and victories. Proceeds will support Courage Campaign, an online community powered by more than one million members, instrumental in the fight for marriage equality.


Your Design Should:

  • Celebrate LGBTQ rights
  • Be tagged with "LGBTQ Rights" and/or "Marriage Equality"
  • Have a simple, single-color background.
  • Be a vertically oriented, 12" by 16" RGB image at a resolution of 300dpi (3600 by 4800 pixels) that is a JPG or PNG
  • Keep a safe area of at least 1" on all sides (don’t place text too close to the edge)
  • Include an apparel file that is layered or includes a transparent background (AI, PSD, PNG, TIFF)

How-It Works

Creative Action Network is a marketplace for social impact design work covering a range of progressive issues. All designs that meet the requirements listed below will be published as prints and select designs will be made into apparel and other home goods. You will receive 40% of all profits and 10% will be donated to our non-profit cause partners.

Our Green New Deal campaign premiered on March 14, 2019 in Washington D.C., at Bold V. Old, a daylong convening where speakers including Stacey Abrams, Cory Booker and Kamala Harris discussed bold ideas for our biggest problems, including the Green New Deal. On March 16 In Oakland, CA, Creative Action Network joined artists and activists at the Green New Deal Create-A-Thon, where youth artists from the Sunrise Movement and others worked on new designs for the collection. Youth activist Rio says that after seeing videos of Greta Thunberg leading student climate strikes in Europe, “me and my sister were empowered to make some sort of difference.” Rio and his sister Maddy recently rose to internet stardom when their student group confronted Senator Feinstein about the Green New Deal a few weeks ago. Maddy says she is now “trying to make my voice be more heard, go to marches, and more creative stuff, definitely!”
