Last week, the eyes of the world descended on the bay area as we played host to Super Bowl 50. You may have heard something about it. In the heart of downtown, right next to the NFL's Super Bowl City, some fans may have noticed a team of artists hard at work, painting a 120 ft. long mural at 1st and Market St.
The NFL, wanting to support local artists in celebrating the bay area as host of the Super Bowl, reached out to us, asking CAN to produce a mural right there on the sidewalk, the week before the super bowl.
We had the honor of working with the incredibly talented Kristi Holohan, who not only designed a beautiful mural, but put together a wonderful crew of artists from Rock Paper Scissors Collective in Oakland, where she serves as Youth Director.
Thanks to Kristi Holohan, Dan Fontes, Nancy Acosta, Manny Carpio, Samaiyah Mustafa-Zareef, Vanessa Rodriguez, and the production team at PEDG for the opportunity to make this happen!
